Our Story

              Kuthu Fire is a youth-led dance company, born in 2023 from a simple dream shared by two kids who believed dance could bring people together. After a first-place win at the Festival of India Competition - Glam, Glow, and Glitter! 2023, what began as a trophy win has grown into a vibrant community where creativity, culture, and confidence congregate through movement.

              Our journey began with a shared passion for dance and a friendship that blossomed through renowned choreographer Singaram. As lifelong dancers with roots in Bharatanatyam and a love for exploring diverse dance styles, we found in each other not only dance partners, but also creative collaborators and lifelong friends.

               When the COVID-19 pandemic brought dance classes to a halt, we saw an opportunity to create rather than pause. Together, we choreographed, filmed, and shared original dance projects online, using dance to stay connected with our community and continue growing as artists. What began as a creative outlet quickly grew into a supportive audience that encouraged us to keep pushing our creativity and sharing our passion.

                 That experience inspired us to take the next step. Today, we are committed to creating high-energy performances, meaningful choreography, and engaging dance experiences that bring people together. Whether we're performing on stage, teaching workshops, or sharing our latest projects, our mission remains the same: to inspire confidence, celebrate culture, and spread the joy of dance through every performance.

                Kuthu Fire celebrates the beauty and diversity of Indian dance while embracing modern western influences. We integrate old forms such as Bharatanatyam and classical Fusion with contemporary forms such as Bollywood, Fusion, Bhangra, Kuthu to create exciting choreography that honors tradition while also being innovative. 

                    Whether a student is dancing for the first time or refining years of experience, our goal remains the same: to ignite confidence, build lasting friendships, celebrate culture, and inspire a lifelong love for dance.
